Introduction.
North Sea Hardware opened on North Sea Road in Southampton in 2020: a True Value member store and an authorized STIHL dealer, with eleven departments and a repair counter that sharpens blades, cuts keys and fixes window screens. This concept was built without being asked, from the store’s own website. It is not client work, and the store has not hired me or endorsed it.
Challenges.
Every section on the same red.
The current site sets every band on one brick red, runs its department and service lists as single centred lines, and has no store hours on it at all: the header sends visitors to Google Maps to find them.
Solution.
Open or closed, answered in the first screen.
The hours, the open or closed status and the address sit in the first screen beside call and text buttons. The red is kept for the moments that carry the store’s voice, like “YES! We repair window screens!”, and the store’s 5.0 from 97 Google reviews is on the page instead of a request for more.
